I got a dog named Maggie when I was about 10 years old. She ended up becoming my best friend. She provided comfort (and a lot of humping unfortunately) throughout half of my life pretty much. No matter how alone I felt, I could always come home and know that at least Maggie was there for me. In the hours before we had to put her down I slept on the kitchen floor with her that night because she was too hot to sleep on her bed. The tumors were getting very big and before I knew it I was holding her in my arms, only this time she was not alive. This song is for Maggie.
